Heer Ranjha

Heer Ranjha  is one of the four popular tragic romances of Punjab. There are several poetic narrations of the story, the most famous being 'Heer' by Waris shah written in 1766. It tells the story of the love of Heer and her lover Ranjha. Well-known poetic narrations have also been written by Others.Heer and Ranjha are buried in Heer's hometown, Jhang. Lovers and others often pay visits to their mausoleum.

Once Heer was going to meet her lover Ranjha. She was so lost that she didn't notice the Maulvi's (priest)  presence, who was offering prayer. Maulvi called her out and said ,"Heer have u forgotten ur etiquettes ..where are u going that u didn't even notice to wish me.." Heer stopped and realised his presence and said , " please forgive me..I didn't do it purposely ..I just didn't notice u .. M  going to meet Ranjha..I m unable see anything except him.." Hearing this Maulvi got very angry with her..

                  Heer begged forgiveness and said ," respected Maulvi saab(sir) I am a normal person and m so lost to my love for Ranjha that I didn't see u,,..but u are Gods person and u were offering prayer..in meeting with God....just tell me how cud u notice my presence....

Love is complete surrender..u loose ur self in your lover..that's exactly how u must be in prayer too..love is best form of prayer..pray like u love....
